GETTIN ready...
last night we went to boston to see a show. i had never even heard of bus driver before, but hutch assured me that i would really enjoy him....he was right. bus driver is a one man act from L.A., the energy he put on stage was enviable. he sounds like a mix of dub and hip hop, but he had samples of radiohead and a few other indie favs wrapped up in there. he put all of the energy he had into the performance- julting and jerking back and forth while he splattered sweat all over the audience and asked us to chant, "bus driver, bus driver!!!" fer real though, the guy can put on a real good show, i advise all to check him out on myspace. his mini fro is very appealing as well. dizzee rascal followed with another engaging act. i never realized how many bostonians were into the dizzee, this, as hutch informed me, was his first U.S. tour as he resides in the fabulous United Kingdom. he was wearing a particularly glitzy t-shirt, with the word "TRILL" on it under the cuban flag which was all colored rhinestones.....it was just what i had always dreamed it would be.
here are some pics from the excursion, i was a bit drunk and completely exhausted so i apologize completely for the quality and lack of performance pics, i was rather disappointed by the turnout, pretty much all white kids in their early twenties. but then again, it is boston afterall.
