the trip begins with a rainbow...
So, last weekend, memorial day weekend, miss monika and i made the trip to NH to stay at the "kenney compound." we started our weekend out right by seeing an extremely aesthetically pleasing boy band called old abram brown at an exclusive gallery in portsmouth called ELLO. the gallery housed a number of underground local artists of which monika, taylar and i were in complete awe of. later we embarked out on the old town of portsmouth for stellas and bowls. the weekend continued with a fabulous invite to a "chowder fest" where monika and i were able to taste a variety of scrumptious and quite decadent chowders made by lovely NH folk. monika was in her Thai glory with the coconut milk variety (which actually ended up taking second place). we finished off the weekend with shopping at the odd showroom, which is owned by my dear friend amity (who was once elliot smith's biggest fan). amity has an amazing set up, complete with second hand variety and her own crocheted inventions (the crocheted dresses are so hot, they bring to mind charlotte gainsbourg a la "science of sleep") you better be sure to check it out if you want to be in the know- www.myspace.com/oddshowroom
