GIVE PEACE A DANCE.

so,,,this stupid war has been going on for FIVE years now....did you know, FIVE YEARS. there have been really good bands that havent stayed together that long, or really good shows on tv, like "Arrested Development" (which only lasted three seasons). it just seems crazy to me when i really sit down and think about it, which is at least once a day. we have it pretty good, i must say, we are still allowed the freedom to do pretty much everything we always did, attend fabulous parties, eat sushi, see a really good film, shop.....it seems amazing to me that while we are engaging in all of these activities there are people dying. over 4,000 americans have died fighting in this war and 1,222,013 Iraqi men, women and children have died already. To me, this is a BIG DEAL. just recently we have seen the affects first hand with the gas prices rising to almost $5.00 per gallon. Enough is enough man.
A national event has finally been called dubbed The National Assembly will be held on June 28-29th in Cleveland, Ohio and everyone is invited. It is the first national mobilization since the start of the war five years ago. It is an open democratic national antiwar conference to place on the agenda of the entire US antiwar movement a proposal for the largest possible united mass mobilization to stop the war and end the occupation. Monika Polska and I have decided to have this event "Give Peace a Dance" to raise money to get a bus to send as many people as we can to this assembly in Cleveland.
